 Artificial sports turfs use infill materials to help the turf fibers to stand upright, cushion the surface and assist the synthetic grass surface to feel more like real grass and soil.  Infill also weighs down the synthetic material to help  prevent the artificial turf system from buckling and moving. 
Until now crumb rubber made from shredded recycled used car tires was used as the primarily  sports turf infill of choice. 
Today, iCoir's organic sustainable earth friendly coconut coir  based materials  are rapidly becoming the next generation's artificial turf organic infill of choice for many reasons. As much as 40° F cooler than traditional crumb rubber turf fields, also low G-Max levels and maintenance costs.
